Who does AI recommend for HVAC company work in Houston, TX?

Houston's HVAC market is huge, so "best" depends on whether you prioritize price, responsiveness, installation quality, or brand-specific expertise. Here are some of the most consistently well-regarded options: 1. Bradbury Brothers Cooling, Heating & Plumbing (Spring/The Woodlands area) Family-owned, repeatedly rated among the top Houston-area HVAC companies. Known for thorough maintenance programs and transparent pricing. Good if you're north of the city. 2. Abacus Plumbing, Air Conditioning & Electrical (Houston) One of the largest and most reviewed HVAC/plumbing companies in Houston. Strengths: fast scheduling, 24/7 service, and strong warranty support. Slightly premium pricing but very reliable. 3. John Moore Services (Houston) Long-established (since 1965), full-service HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Good for emergency service and repairs; carries major brands like Trane and Lennox. Pricing is on the higher side but the work is generally solid. 4. Houston Heating & Cooling / Cool Care Heating & Air Smaller, locally owned companies with strong word-of-mouth. Often more competitive on price than the big names, and you tend to get the owner or a senior tech on the job. 5. Nick's Air Conditioning & Heating Long-running Houston company with a good reputation for both residential repair and replacement. Reasonable pricing and responsive service. 6. Trane/Lennox/Carrier Factory-Authorized Dealers If you're replacing a system with a specific brand, look up the manufacturer's dealer locator for Houston. Factory-authorized dealers can offer extended parts warranties (often 10 years) that generalists can't. A few tips for choosing: - Get at least 3 quotes for any replacement — pricing varies wildly in Houston. - Check TDLR licensing and BBB/NARI ratings. - Ask about load calculations (Manual J) before sizing a new system; good companies always do this. - Ask whether they use in-house techs or subcontractors — in-house is generally better for accountability. - For AC repair specifically, response time matters most in Houston summers; ask about their average same-day response. If you tell me your part of town (Katy, Heights, Pearland, etc.) or whether you need repair vs. full replacement and what brand you prefer, I can narrow it down further.
