Which AI actually answers — and is it real?
Real, always — we call a real engine's API and store the answer verbatim, and the receipt names which one answered. Depending on configuration that's Perplexity or ChatGPT (live web search, with cited sources) or DeepSeek (model knowledge, clearly labeled — a read on what AI recalls about your market). Nothing is ever paraphrased or simulated.
Why is it limited to a few checks per hour?
Each check is a real query to a paid AI engine, and we'd rather keep it genuinely free than gate it behind a signup. Three per hour covers checking yourself and a competitor or two; our clients get scheduled checks across many questions and engines every month.
The AI didn't name anyone local — what does that mean?
It happens in thinner markets: when no local business has strong enough signals, engines answer generically or lean on directories. That's actually good news — the recommendation seat for your market is effectively open, and the first business to build real signals tends to take it.
Does one answer mean I always show up (or never do)?
